1989 was a year of sorrow for a close family friend, she had just suffered an unexpected breakup and her broken heart was pouring out relentlessly. It is as Proverbs 24:10 says,” If you become discouraged in the day of distress, your strength will be meager.” She needed encouragement and strength from the one who says, ” I reside, also with the one crushed and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly ones and to revive the heart of the ones being crushed”. Isaiah 57;15. The one mentioned in that verse would get her through and we would be there with her as well until she could heal. Her momentary loss and cries were behind the lyrics of the song, “I don’t know why”
