In My Life (Behind the song)
Life passes through times when everything seems to go wrong for one while others seem to prosper turning everything they do into gold literally or symbolically in the successes they have. Part of it is do to the way we were raised. Some were raised in a more structured environment whereas others suffered a dysfunctional experience. Some learned valuable principles and guidelines while others struggled to only survive. But things change and finding the right person or the right road to travel makes all the difference. This new relationship either with another person or new outlook on life changes everything. Regarding the new outlook Wayne Dyer made this comment, “When you change the way you look at things , the things you look at change”. Although there are those who prosper because of badness as Psalm 73:12 makes clear, “Yes, these are the wicked, who always have it easy. They keep increasing their wealth.” But verse 18, 19 shows they won’t always be successful, “Surely you place them on slippery ground. You make them fall to their ruin. How suddenly they are devastated! How sudden is their finish as they come to a terrible end. “Verses 27,28 “Truly, those keeping far from you will perish. You will put an end to everyone who immorally leaves you’. But as for me, drawing near to God is good for me. I have made the Sovereign Lord Jehovah my refuge, To declare all your works. So real success can come from a relationship with the creator and putting his wise councils and viewpoints in practice. So ones life can be successful even if it came from a dysfunctional place.
