Inside of me has always been the fear of performing for others, however my vocal teacher had other plans. She helped me have more confidence and to not to focus on myself but to be absorbed in what I was doing as If no one else was there or even performing with the love to give others the best performance I could give for their enjoyment. 1 John 4:18 encourages, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts fear out, because fear restrains us. Indeed, the one who is fearful has not been made perfect in love.” Thinking of others and trying to give them the best because I love them and want them to hear something pleasurable has helped the problem inside of me.
