Later than today (Behind the song)
After spending a long time waiting , maybe even years desperation sets in and we want something to change now. The song addresses two situations. The first is when passing an opportunity that appears but not acting fast enough its gone. The second is waiting for what was to be and what was to be became a casualty. It was touched but fell through and all that is left the the hope that something will come again. Now comes the desperation of not willing to wait one more day. A willingness to wait can help one remain calm if they have a hope that is solidly based, “Remember my affliction and my homeless state, the wormwood and the bitter poison. You will surely remember and bow low over me. I recall this in my heart; that is why I will show a waiting attitude.”- “-Lamentations 3:19-21. In the near future things will happen that are worth waiting for. This is the promise, “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”-Revelation 21:3, 4 Those changes in our world are priceless and worth waiting for!
