The Gun (Behind the music)

The weaponry that has been devised to purposely harm life has left untold pain on families and loved ones for centuries. The Gun is only one such weapon that has taken a life from a waiting wife and also a loved son ripped away in the blink of an eye. Who can stop this madness created by persons that were born in innocence but somehow crossed the line and learned how to destroy. Will violence and war ever stop and their subsequent tragedies. Will the weapons be forever eliminated. Isaiah 2: says,   “He will render judgment among the nations.  And set matters straight  respecting many peoples.They will beat their swords into plowshares. And their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation,. Nor will they learn war anymore.
The wise words at Psalms 46:3-11 state,   “Come and witness the activities of Jehovah,

How he has done astonishing things on the earth.

He is bringing an end to wars throughout the earth.

He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;

He burns the military wagons  with fire.”   These words speak of future things as if they had already been done showing how sure it will be.

And the plague of violence?  Psalm 37:14, 15, and 10 and 11 states, “The wicked draw their swords and bend  their bows

To bring down the oppressed and the poor,

To slaughter those whose way is upright.

But their sword will pierce their own heart

Their bows will be broken.”   Also   “ Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more;

You will look at where they were,

And they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth,

And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace”

Yes , THE GUN will no longer be a concern!   All the above were influences behind the song, “THE GUN”.
