Too Far Away

Behind the song: Too Far Away.   What strengthens a good relationship are having similar interests , goals and values and respect for the differences. But at what point do those differences get Too Far Away and things can t be continued. So many times in a marital relationship that sadly occurs and the couple goes their separate ways. To save that precious relationship there has to be an effort to bring these distances closer. But the song is using a marital relationship to illustrate the distances between people and groups.  Sometimes the wrong crowd becomes the ones we become attached to and our values and integrity can get compromised. At that point such a relationship becomes Too Far Away because it puts in jeopardy ones principles and values. The wise words are true, “Bad associations spoil useful habits” and ”  The one walking with the wise will become wise, But the one who has dealings with the stupid will fare badly”( 1 Corinthians 15:33, Proverbs 13:20)  Under these circumstances the relationships are Too Far Away. That is why our future is measured by those who are our friends because their subtle influence can be just ‘too far away’. Are their values different than ours. Those values will become ours whether they are positive or negative because close friendship breaks down resistance and barriers. If values are ‘too far away’ then its better to get ‘too far away’.
