BEGGING WON’T DO (Behind the song)
When an unconditional love affair turns conditional and a happy home is marred by the pain of two, the pain of 3 or 4 becomes even more painful. And the 3 or 4 plus are the sad consequences of this break up. Those little eyes don’t understand why begging won’t do. Why is this willingness to part so strong that it finds itself unaffected by the tears of the innocent. In our time we see happening more frequently what was predicted 2000 years ago when it was said that people would be, “ having no natural affection, not open to any agreement,” 1 Timothy 3:3 . Desperately needed is the advice at Colossians 3:14, “But besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union”. These are the motivations behind the song, ‘Begging won’t do’
