Swans are beautiful creatures. They are mentioned only twice in the Bible as creatures that the Israelites could not eat. Good idea, it would be a pity to kill those lovely creatures. In literature and art Swans are associated with the gracefulness . beauty. Elegance and purity  of a woman. Loyalty for life is also associated with the swan. The song “The Swan” refers to the one I have loved all my life, she is like a swan in all those ways mentioned.
