So many times we don t relish the moment being caught up in a multiple worries and problems. Sometimes it is a future concern or a past hang up that becomes a block to fully enjoying the moment. When one is worried about future or past events it fills up the moment with too many distractions. The wise counsel at Matthew 6:34 states,”So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles.” Isaiah 65:17 says about the past, ” For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind, Nor will they come up into the heart.” If the future promise is to eliminate all the negative past memories, then why allow them now to interrupt the joy and pleasure of a moment that will never be repeated again therefore loosing the beauty of that lost moment. We can’t change the past nor can we totally control the future but we can make the best use of NOW. These were the motivations behind the song .”Live the Moment”.
