MONTREAL ROSES (behind the song)
Over 30 years ago in the City of Montreal 14 women died in the 1989 École Polytechnique school, they were shot by a gunman. In the same year Five children were killed in the Stockton, California schoolyard shooting; thirty children and one teacher were wounded. They have long since been forgotten by most and since then tragically numerous innocent persons and children in greater numbers have been killed in the same way as they were just living normal lives not harming anyone. No longer just an isolated incident but a too often reoccurring plague. They are part of the problems that it seems no knows the way out or how to stop it from reoccurring. It was said 2000 years ago we would arrive at a time when the way out of different situations would become the fate of modern man. The Prophecy stated clearly at Luke 21:25, “25 “Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation.” Isaiah 57:20 helps us understand the expression,” Roaring of the sea” when it says . “
“But the wicked are like the restless sea that cannot calm down, And its waters keep tossing up seaweed and mire.: The restlessness of mankind has produced these unstable conditions as mentioned in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “ But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” Would you say the above conditions are stable or unstable like the sea? But there is hope that all this will end shortly. Psalm 37: 10, 11 states, “Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
All the above are the motivations behind the song Montreal Roses.
