A Beautiful Falling (Behind the song)
Falling in love is a wonderous thing. No not just that emotional feeling only but it is what comes with it, Someone you have come to know and trust, one that you can tell all and feel secure with your life in their hands. Truly a beautiful falling. Not all of us find that kind of love for sometimes we are caught in the emotional moment of what we thought true love to be only to turn out to be another disappointment and short lasting. That is why the wise words at 1 Corinthians 7:36, “if he is past the bloom of youth, then this is what should take place: Let him do what he wants; he does not sin. Let them marry”. Many marriages fail because the couples are too young and sometimes basing their relationship on these new emotional feelings that they are beginning to experience but yet not fully developed. So it feels like a “a beautiful falling” but these emotions have not been fine tuned yet to see clearly what to look for and what to avoid. So an emotional relationship starts without ever having developed the beautiful qualities needed to sustain a relationship through the difficult times. Instead of patience there are demands, instead of respect there is disrespect, instead of self-control there is unrefrained explosion, instead of humility there is hardened pride. Instead of unselfish love there are egotistical rights insisted upon. Each partner gets to see the ugly side of the others undeveloped qualities and eventually what was perceived as love turns to hate and dissolution of what was thought to be ‘a beautiful falling. The song focuses on what would be a real ‘beautiful falling’. In the song the loved one is called upon to never loose the prettiness of the eyes never having to hide them in shame. Because behind those eyes are the traits that make that loved one precious. The trust is expressed in the words, “ I think I can read your heart, such a lovely heart to read. And I know you’ll never leave or hide your heart from me”. Each one knows and respects the other so well that they can predict their future togetherness as being on solid ground. These are things that formed the creating the song , ‘A Beautiful Falling’,
