Freedom Of The Wing (Behind the song)

When is freedom really freedom. Are their different forms of freedom and what would be the criteria’s  that would determine real freedom. My wife says if she were to choose to be an animal it would be a bird because of the freedom it has. But even a bird doesn’t have absolute freedom to fly into or through objects without harm, but has to navigate around them. There are certain things it has to do to stay alive, it has to eat, process food and avoid predators. So freedom is relative. Then what constitutes real freedom. Freedom to do any and everything has consequences that can totally take away all freedom. For instance one can have freedom to smoke, be an alcoholic, to be morally loose but the eventual results of the lack of restriction in these fields slams one into boxes that restrict the rest of life with sickness , diseases, emotional and family difficulties. So really all freedom has restrictions, but which has even during the restrictive process benefits that produce peace, health and happiness during all years of life and beyond.  In the song true freedom Is addressed with the words, “When the peace casts it’s shadow over the sea” and “ When the sweet trees send their healing through the land” Imagine all of the great sea of humanity having cast over every member of it , true peace collectively and individually. Contemplate such a world of complete peace for all, that is truly freedom. These are the confirming words that make such freedom a reality, “But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace”  and “ To the increase of his rulership And to peace, there will be no end, On the throne of David and on his kingdom In order to establish it firmly and to sustain it Through justice and righteousness, From now on and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this.”-Psalm 37:11, Isaiah 9:7.    No more horrors of war, fear of the unknown, uncertainty of ones future and complete trust and peace of everything that surrounds one. Would that be a true freedom never before experienced. The song Freedom of the wing was written when a close friend passed away and it was comforting to know that all was not lost. Not only was all not lost but so much more would be gained that would emphasize even more real freedom. Referring to such freedom are the words of the song “When the sweet trees send their healing through the land” based on Revelation 22:2, “down the middle of its main street. On both sides of the river were trees of life producing  crops of fruit, yielding their fruit each month. And the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations.”  These words speak of an arrangement of complete and total healing of ALL maladies. What maladies will we have freedom from? Imagine no more physical  and emotional sicknesses, no more death, no more plagues of old age and the pains brought on by ageing. Imagine having a perfect mind and body forever! Psalm 37:29, “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.” And “They will not cause any harm Or any ruin in all my holy mountain, Because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah As the waters cover the sea” –Isaiah 11:9.  Also what about the freedom of having  again the joy of being with  all your friends and loved ones  that have died, forever enjoying their company.  John 5:28,29 says, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice  and come out….. “.There is no freedom now or ever existed that compares to this freedom. To reiterate: Freedom from wars, hate, harm, insecurity, death, all types of sickness and pain,  loosing ones youth and painfully growing old ,and freedom to be with all your loved ones again , ALL FOREVER.  All this with an abundance of peace forever! There is no greater freedom!  That’s true freedom! These are the motivations behind the song “Freedom of the wing”.
