STARLIGHT (Behind the song)

Courtship has been a generator of some of the greatest love songs. Songs spun from those new and special emotions leave us remembering what was and sometimes what we try to regain if we lost it in the dark holes of life. In those dark holes we sometimes remark, “Did I really say that?” Our thoughts and feelings may have similarity to these words in the Song of Soloman 4:7,9  “You are altogether beautiful, my beloved, There is no blemish in you……….You have captured my heart, my sister, my bride, You have captured my heart with one glance of your eyes, With one pendant of your necklace.” The song ‘Starlight’ touches on those personal memories that become ever embedded in the soul of each pair of starry-eyed lovers. The first kiss, the first hug , the first standing together and the first touch of the hand. We try to hold on to these transitory values as the relationship deepens and they will always remain. These are the influences behind the song ‘Starlight’ and what remains in the heart of the author.
