Generally a Stone Lady is many times thought of as perhaps a famous statue. But stone can symbolize something else! Sometimes among humanity we find someone as inflexible as stone, especially when it comes to letting their feelings out or changing a strongly shaped erroneous opinion.. The song focuses on doing what you can while still living , let your feelings out, show your love to those you love. The verse says, ‘Don’t bring flowers to my grave, I can never feel them no matter how carefully they are laid, Stone Lady do what you can while life is still breathing’. So if you are a Stone Lady show your feelings, don’t be afraid to to show your vulnerable side and your feelings to those you love, for carefully laid flowers at the grave site are to late of a showing. To melt those stone like qualities one has to openly show love as 1 Corinthians 13:2  states clearly ,”if I have all the faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”  It may take effort and endurance to change what one has grown into from years of practice and even possible abuse. James 1:4 tells it will bring results, it says, “But let endurance complete its work, so that you may be complete and sound in all respects, not lacking in anything.” We never have to settle for what we have become, changes can remove those rough edges and turn us into a loving companion that shows love long before lonely regrets overpower us. finding us unchanged carefully laying flowers.
