This constant sorrow (Behind the song)
We all fall into that big hole where we find ourselves wondering if things will ever get better, will this constant sorrow that has been produced ever end. The song addresses that pain that affects the heart, tears ,dreams , life and soul and begs,’ WRAP THEM UP IN YOUR BOTTLE AND TAKE THIS CONSTANT SORROW AWAY FROM ME’ It pleads, ‘Show me the way” Sometimes the pressure is so intense that that we feel we can’t make it, so we call out to the creator the words of Psalm 56:8, “You keep track of my wandering. Do collect my tears in your skin bottle. Are they not recorded in your book?”. The song cries for the help that Psalm 72:12,13 promises , “For he will rescue the poor who cry for help, Also the lowly one and whoever has no helper. He will have pity on the lowly and the poor, And the lives of the poor he will save”. Psalm 55:22 gives one the confidence needed to get through this period of constant sorrow. IT says , “Throw your burden on Jehovah, And he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall.” To find the positive results mentioned here faith is needed in these words. That can be done by reading and studying the book where those words were found. Such a state of mind was the basis behind this song.
