Until Forever Ends (Behind the song)
When one begins a relationship with the person one has come to love, forever is an often talked about subject although it is conceded that no one lives forever. But the longevity is desired and at the moment felt strongly. It should be because it is a sad thing when a person gives the best of their life, their youth, only to be abandoned in their older years. That is why the song says ,”that would be crime”. And it is such, to take the best of someone and then cast them off when they have aged. Genesis 2:24 expresses how it is supposed to be with these words; “That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he will stick to his wife, and they will become one flesh”. The union was forever as the man was to stick to his wife. In todays world people find it remarkable when they find an older couple who have remained together for 50 years or more. They want to know how they did it. The simple answer is contained in Ephesians 5:33 , “ Nevertheless, each one of you must love his wife as he does himself; on the other hand, the wife should have deep respect for her husband.” Marriages fall apart when there is no respect and no love. It says a husband should love his wife as he loves himself and that means always taking her feelings into consideration as he would his own. That strengthens the bond of love mutually. A husband needs to feel respected and when a wife shows deep respect for what he does this also strengthens their bond and he comes to love her more and more. These are two basic needs that each partner needs satisfied. That is the key to forever. These are the thoughts behind the song , “Until forever ends”.
