What Does It Matter(Behind the song)
Do things really matter or are they worthy of being concerned about. A young innocent child grows up only to misconceive what the beauty of real love is because of being branded by sexual and physical abuse that destroys all belief in the goodness of others. A boy subjected to unattending and undefending things becomes an island who depends on his own view of the world devoid of caring and concern. Does it really matter? If love is lost by self-deceiving and self-achieving things and becomes inflexibly rigid holding tight to what should be given, should we be concerned? Shall we join the world inside with its safe haven, ones personal heaven sheltered from the unknown broken-down outside our walls of protection. Can one really be content by the two worlds of haphazard production. Does it really matter upon which the very foundations of our world are constructed, and the offspring and actions produced by such construction. That’s why the words at Isaiah 65:17 make sense, “For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind. Nor will they come up into the heart.” No, not the two worlds dominated by man to his injury (Ecclesiastes 8:9 , Jerimiah 10:23) Revelation 11;18 warns a bringing “to ruin those ruining the earth” A NEW foundation for the earth of mankind is in the developmental stages as we speak of which every human being can be a part of regardless of their past , present or current situation. We don’t have to accept the current trial and error foundation constructed by thousands of years of stumbling and crawling out of one hole after another. “Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth.”-Matthew 5:5. Theirs is the very basis of this new foundation for they will be taught correctly (Isaiah 54:13) Such were the thoughts that penetrated the troubled mind as the song was penned.
