The most valuable possession we have is our life. Would we easily give a valuable car or a home for no valid reason to some unworthy individual. Of course not! Much more so, this priceless life. Unfortunately and sadly some have put all their hopes in one basket only to see it go up in flames carrying ones life life with it. Nothing is worth giving up your identity and placing it in the decision of another or letting the actions of others ruin our life and make us think without them we have no life worth living. It is just not true to be brought to this state and this negative view of your most valuable possession. Regardless of what others do, what hopes are disillusioned, or dreams have failed,  your  possession is still in tack and can be renewed to live and hope and dream again and this time much wiser. Think more about what you have learned than lost .Proverbs 1:5 focuses on the benefit, “A wise person listens and takes in more instruction; A man of understanding acquires skillful direction”. Learn from the negative experience and take your life back and be happy that you are in control again to now take wiser steps in life. Don’t subject yourself  or your emotions to be under the control of another, you decide only, its your life. It is true we sometime have to be under the relative control of another, like an employer, a close companion but let always the final decision be yours according to YOUR VALUES. Never fear an opposing position that sticks to your principles, never let those decisions belong to someone else. The song addresses two circumstances where one can fall into others controlling of their life where after so much sacrificing one feels all is lost and so the life that has been given away needs to be disposed of. It is a lie and it is just not true, there is so much more to feel, to know, to experience and to live for! Life has ups and downs, don’t make such a long lasting decision during a down, take control now and say NO, its my life to keep!
